03 Jun Strengthening Sunbelt Presence
Lambda Phi Epsilon brings new dimensions of belonging to campus communities across Dallas, Omaha, and Tampa.
The leadership of Lambda Phi Epsilon International Fraternity is pleased to announce the conclusion of three chartering developments during the Spring 2026 semester, including new establishments at the University of South Florida and Creighton University, as well as the rechartering of its chapter at the University of Texas at Dallas. With these additions, Lambda Phi Epsilon now maintains a network of 79 chapters internationally, continuing its long-term organizational growth and campus presence across North American higher education institutions.
“These latest expansion efforts represent another important step in Lambda Phi Epsilon’s continued growth trajectory,” said Winston Lee. “The successful chartering of new chapters alongside the return of a previously dormant chapter demonstrates the continued relevance of our mission and values for students across today’s college campuses. We remain committed to supporting students in building meaningful relationships, leadership skills, and lifelong communities,” said Winston Lee, Director of Expansion.

“The education team was really helpful in guiding us, keeping us on track, and introducing us to Lambda Phi Epsilon’s values in a way that actually stuck,” said Creighton University Charter Sai Alavala. “Over time, those weren’t just aspects we just talked about, but were transposed onto our own lives. I’m glad we took the chance to build something together, and I’m excited to see where it goes from here and what we will top in the future.”

The International Fraternity established a new chapter at the University of South Florida, initiating 18 undergraduate members on April 18, 2026. The expansion initiative was hosted by the Florida Regional Graduate Chapter in partnership with alumni and undergraduate volunteers from chapters throughout the Southeast Region. Byron Solis (Spring 2019) served a chief mentoring role to the USF Charter Class, while Austyn Vong (Spring 2019) served as the assistant educator.

Charter Class President Christian Fajardo described the expansion as the culmination of a years-long effort to establish the organization on campus. “Bringing Lambda Phi Epsilon to USF began as an idea seven years ago as the SURGE Interest Group, and seeing it come to life is truly surreal. This journey was not easy, but that is what makes this moment so meaningful. Going through the chartering process brought our line together and transformed a group of individuals into a true brotherhood. Along the way, we created bonds and memories that will stay with us far beyond this moment,” said Fajardo.

Lambda Phi Epsilon also celebrated the rechartering of its chapter at the University of Texas at Dallas on April 11, 2026. Four undergraduate members completed the re-establishment process with support from alumni and volunteers across the fraternity’s Midwest Region—hosted by Kevin Li of the University of Texas at Austin (Fall 2017), along with Jeremy De La Paz from North Carolina State University (Spring 2017) and Tony Ong from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (Spring 2019). The University of Texas at Arlington Beta Beta Chapter provided support.

Members of the rechartering class acknowledged the challenges of rebuilding a chapter with a small founding cohort while expressing appreciation for alumni and peer support that made the effort possible. “Rebuilding a chapter with four people isn’t easy. Some days it still feels impossible. But we’re here, we’re still showing up, and we’re grateful for every person who walked alongside us.”
Looking Ahead
As Lambda Phi Epsilon approaches the 2026–2027 academic year, expansion efforts will continue to focus on fostering student belonging, leadership development, and sustainable chapter operations within campus communities.
“Our vision for expansion goes beyond increasing chapter numbers,” Lee said. “We want to ensure students have access to spaces where they can build authentic relationships, develop leadership capacity, and contribute positively to their institutions and communities. As we continue progressing toward the milestone of 100 chapters, we remain focused on creating lasting impact across higher education.”
