29 Aug Convention 2026: Sanctuary of the Dragon
From June 26-28th, over 200 Lambda Phi Epsilon (LFE) members gathered in Las Vegas, Nevada for their annual LFE Convention, themed this year as “Sanctuary of the Dragon” The weekend was a vibrant mix of leadership workshops, heartfelt brotherhood traditions, and forward-looking discussions on the fraternity’s role in advocacy and community building.
International President David Kim outlined the fraternity’s progress and provided insight into the future plans and direction that the International Board plans for the organization. The fraternity also highlighted its financial stability with donor funds now managed by the LFE Foundation to support chapter endowments and community-based projects.
NMDP Senior Program Partner Terri Haid announced that the International Fraternity enrolled over 20,000 members into the NMDP registry, resulting in 160 donors who have provided life-saving transplants to patients in need. For the 2025-2026 academic year, the International Fraternity added 2,071 new registry members, and 23 life-saving donations were attributed to fraternity-hosted drives. The top 3 performing chapters this year include:
• Washington State University: 362 registrations
• University of California, Davis: 224 registrations
• University of Minnesota: 121 registrations
Haid also worked with a Northwestern Brother to share his story around his recent diagnosis for blood cancer and that he is looking for blood stem cell transplant donors. To join the registry, anyone between the ages of 18-35 can text LFENoah to 61474.
Alumni presenters delivered meaningful professional development trainings in the form of hour-long workshops across Saturday and Sunday. Topical seminars include:

• “Sustaining the Legacy: Chartering Pitfalls & Resolutions” by The Education Team (Jeremy Dela Paz & Tony Ong
• “You Good Bro? Exploring Mental Health & Brotherhood” by Jeremy Dela Paz
• “Gamifying Personal Finances Through Travel Hacking” by Dr. Bryan Dosono
• “Redefining Strength: Taking Ownership of Our Mental Wellness ” by Jeremy Dela Paz
• “Operational and International Board Insight” by the LFE Executive Board
Upon the traditional close of Convention, the International Board presented chapter awards:
• Chapter of the Year Award: Florida State University; Beta Theta Chapter
The LFE Foundation Board of Trustees presented this year’s scholarship recipients:
• Rising Leader Among Men Scholarship: Parth Vyas, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Associate Chapter
• Academic Excellence Scholarship: Gregory Regala, Florida State University, Beta Theta Chapter
• Lambda of the Year Scholarship: Jason Yang, University of California, Berkeley, Delta Associate Chapter
As the 2026 LFE Convention came to a close, the spirit of “The Sanctuary of the Dragon” resonated deeply, reinforcing the fraternity’s commitment to leadership, service, innovation, and culture. From inspiring speakers to impactful philanthropy and professional growth, the weekend proved that Lambda Phi Epsilon brothers are not just shaping their own futures; they are driving meaningful change in their communities and beyond.
